Wall Hanging Instructions for Glass Wall Art

Important Information:

  • Always select a flat and even surface to fix your glass panel onto.
  • Two people are required during installation.
  • During installation do not put the glass panel down onto a hard surface (tiles, granite worktop) as this will potentially cause damage to the edge / corners.
  • The wall plugs provided are for solid walls only. When fixing to any other type of wall use suitable alternative fixings. If in doubt, please seek professional advice.

Instructions:

  1. Hold the mirror securely in the required position on the wall. Use a spirit level to check the mirror is straight and upright, then using a pencil, draw a line on the wall along the top edge of the mirror from one corner to the other precisely. Remove the mirror from the wall.
  2. Find the centre of the line by using a measuring tape and mark a point.
  3. Measure 10.5cm downwards from this point and mark a new point of this measurement. This point marks the centre of the hole to be drilled to secure the wall hook to the wall.
  4. Drill a hole directly through the centre of the marked point for the wall plug. Make sure the hole you drill is the correct size to accommodate the wall plug. Push the wall plug into the hole. The wall plug should not protrude from the wall when fully inserted into the hole, it should also not sink into the hole either.
  5. Secure the wall hook to the wall with the screw, washer and wall plug provided. To do this, firstly insert the screw through the hole in the washer, then through the slot in the wall hook, now put the screw into the wall plug in the wall and using a screwdriver turn the screw until the wall hook is firmly secured to the wall in the upright position with no movement.
  6. Remove the white backing paper from the adhesive foam spacer pads to reveal the adhesive surface and proceed to attach them both to the back of the mirror in the bottom left and right corners, away from the edge to conceal them from sight.
  7. You are now ready to hang your mirror. Gently insert the wall hook into the hoop on the metal plate on the back of the mirror taking care not to scratch the mirror backing. Do not release the mirror until you are sure it is securely fixed to the wall. It is advised that one person holds the mirror in place whilst the other inspects from either side to confirm the connection between the wall hook and hoop on the metal plate has been completed successfully.
